Nominations are being sought for the IEEE TCCA Young Computer Architect Award, which recognizes important research contributions from computer architects who earned their doctorates six years or less ago.

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 6 March 2013 - (PressReleasePoint) – Nominations are being sought for the IEEE TCCA Young Computer Architect Award, which recognizes important research contributions from computer architects who earned their doctorates six years or less ago.
 
This annual award recognizes outstanding, innovative, high impact research contributions in the field of computer architecture. The deadline for nominations is 15 March. The award will be presented at the International Symposium on Computer Architecture (ISCA) Awards Banquet in Tel Aviv, Israel.
 
Nominators are asked to send their name, the candidate's name, a 500-word or less statement on why the individual is deserving of the award, the candidate's resume, and the names of two persons who will supply supporting letters to Awards Chair Ruby Lee at rblee@princeton.edu by 15 March.
 
This is the third year of this award. The 2012 recipient was Karu Sankaralingam from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and the 2011 recipient was Onur Mutlu from Carnegie Mellon University.
