Nortel Mexico Appoints Galib Karim as Country Manager

As such, he will be responsible for leading the company's business strategy in Mexico, maintaining and building relationships with current and future customers and managing the public affairs in the country./p pDuring his 12 years with Nortel, Karim has held several strategic positions in Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America, including his last role as director of strategic accounts. Other prior positions include director of company networking for Mexico and Central America and channel executive for Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru (Bay Networks)./p pPrior to joining the Nortel team, Karim worked for Intersys Mexico, where he held various positions mainly in the sales and distribution channel areas. He holds a BA in computer science administration from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey [ITESM] and a postgraduate degree in business administration from Instituto Pedagógico de Alta Dirección de Empresas [IPADE]./p pGalib replaces Pablo Vazquez who has made significant contributions to Nortel's presence in Mexico as the country CEO for the last five years.
