The Health and Social Care (HSC) Board is currently conducting a review of wheelchair provision in Northern Ireland.

Following a constructive meeting with HSC, we are seeking to engage and input into the review  so that the needs and experiences of people affected by muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions can be fully included and understood by HSC.

The McCollum Report by the All Party Group on Muscular Dystrophy in the Northern Ireland Assembly highlighted a particular need to raise awareness of wheelchair service issues which families living with neuromuscular disorders are experiencing.

We would greatly appreciate your support in completing this short survey on your own experiences or that of each family member who is a wheelchair user.

It would be very helpful if you are able to fill in the survey over the next week, so that we can submit initial findings. However, the survey will remain active until the 19th September and we will submit the full findings at the next All Party Group meeting (date to be confirmed).

For more information on the HSC's review of wheelchair services, please contact or call 020 7803 4839.
