THIEF RIVER FALLS, MINN. (Sept. 14, 2010) – Northland Community and Technical College – Thief River Falls campus will be hosting a Minnesota Education Fair for all high school students and their parents on Wednesday, September 22, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the campus gymnasium.

The fair provides students and parents an opportunity to explore a variety of options for continued education, technical training, or military service after high school. Representatives from over 60 educational institutions from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Manitoba will be available to answer questions and provide important information for post-high school planning. Structured like a trade show, students and parents are free to pick up literature and speak with representatives of those colleges and organizations that interest them. This fair is one of the largest college fairs in the state, with over 900 students from area high schools attending last year.

The fair is sponsored by the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling (MACAC), which also hosts the National College Fair each fall in Minneapolis.

Admission to the September 22nd fair at Northland College is free. Students should contact their high school counselor for further information.
