MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL (03/07/2014) —The anticipated grand reopening of Northrop is less than a month away, and casting has been announced for the American Ballet Theatre’s April 4th weekend production of Giselle.
The following performers will play the iconic roles of Giselle and Albrecht throughout the weekend:
April 4: American Ballet Theatre principals Paloma Herrera and Cory Stearns. Herrera has been a member of ABT since 1991, while Stearns joined in 2005.
April 5: Isabella Boylston and James Whiteside. Both Boylston and Whiteside will be making their American Ballet Theatre debuts.
April 6: Hee Seo and Alexandre Hammoudi. Seo has been a performing member of the ABT since 2005. Hammoudi will be making his debut.
The ballet performance, featuring a live orchestra, will kick off a weekend full of Northrop Inside Out Grand Reopening Gala events. A dessert and champagne reception, and Northrop Inside Out After Dark dance party featuring a live DJ and special performances, follows the main stage show on the 4th.
