Nova Medical Centers expands footprint into the Middle East

Through this partnership, Nova and OMZEST will set up Ambulatory Surgery Centers in Dubai, Muscat, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.

Nova Medical Centers, India’s leading Ambulatory Surgery Group, today announced its expansion into the Middle East region. This venture will be a 51%-49% partnership between Nova and the OMZEST Group. Through this partnership, Nova and OMZEST will set up Ambulatory Surgery Centers in Dubai, Muscat, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh. Additionally, OMZEST will invest in Nova’s Indian operations and acquire a 10% equity stake.

OMZEST is one of the premier and most diversified groups in Sultanate of Oman with over 75 companies. The Group is led by its Chairman and Founder, H.E. Dr. Omar Zawawi, Special Advisor for External Liaison to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. OMZEST’s business interests include Manufacturing, Construction & Contracting, Services, Trading & Agency representation, Training and Education.

This joint venture marks a significant milestone for Nova. Having pioneered the concept of stand-alone Ambulatory Surgery Centers in India, the Nova group is now ready to make its presence felt in the international healthcare arena. Nova’s partnership with OMZEST would also generate international career opportunities for doctors, clinical and non-clinical staff associated with Nova centers across India.

Mr. Suresh Soni, Chairman and CEO, Nova Medical Centers, described this tie-up as a momentous landmark in Nova’s journey to achieve a global footprint in the healthcare delivery space. “Nova’s unique operating model is designed for rapid scale.
