NTSB Releases Agenda for Cruise Ship Safety and Oversight Forum

WASHINGTON – The National Transportation Safety Board today released the agenda and list of panelists for the forum, Cruise Ships: Examining Safety, Operations and Oversight, scheduled for March 25-26.

Representatives from cruise lines, regulators, and researchers will serve as panelists during the forum to discuss safety, the industry's regulatory framework, and operational oversight issues surrounding recent high-profile incidents.

The NTSB has called for enhancing passenger vessel safety, and the issue is currently on the Board's Most Wanted List of transportation safety priorities. A link to Most Wanted List is here: http://www.ntsb.gov/safety/mwl2_2014.html

The forum will be held in the NTSB Board Room and Conference Center, located at 429 L'Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, D.C. It will be free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. For those who are unable to attend in person, the forum can be viewed via webcast at www.ntsb.gov.
