Nu Horizons announces new XpressTrack seminar featuring Xilinx FPGAs and Domain Platform Kits

MELVILLE, NY - January 25, 2010 - Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ: NUHC), a leading global distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display, illumination, power, system and telecommunication solutions; announces a new multi-city XpressTrack seminar entitled: Accelerating FPGA Development with Xilinx Domain Platform Kits. This 3 hour event is focused on hardware and software tools to expedite the FPGA development cycle. Featured in this seminar will be the recently announced Xilinx Spartan®-6 and Virtex®-6 Connectivity and Embedded Domain Platform Kits. In addition to the presentation, the Spartan Connectivity and Embedded kits will be demonstrated, showing customers the capabilities of these recently released tools.

In conjunction with the Domain Platform Kits, Xilinx has also announced the FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) Standard. As part of this seminar, a number of FMC carrier and daughter cards will be discussed from leading 3rd party vendors, including Inrevium, Digilent, Faster Technology, and Linear Technology. Additional presentations will be given by two of Nu Horizons partners, Connect Tech and PLDA. Connect Tech is a leading providing of PC/104 and PCI/104 form factor solutions. PLDA is a leading provider of semiconductor intellectual property (IP) specialized in high-speed interconnect protocols and technologies, including USB and PCI Express.
