) was issued 21 claims underUnited States patent number 7,898,218 for its Power Supply Topology.

O2Micro's patented Power Supply topologies increase efficiency in multiple load level applications using pulse width modulation (PWM) switching frequency control.

“Controlling the switching frequency of the PWM signal allows the use of an inductor that can achieve high efficiency at both light and heavy load conditions,” commented Laszlo Lipcsei, vice president, O2Micro.
