Utility Grade Solar Farm of 330 kW Continues to Draw Customers to Site
Shelton, CT and Toronto, ON, October 20, 2009

Shelton, CT and Toronto, ON, October 20, 2009 – OPEL Solar, Inc., a leading global developer and supplier of high concentration photovoltaic ("HCPV") and other solar products, including ground-based and rooftop tracker systems, and its Spanish partner, BETASOL, today celebrated the completion of330 kilowatts (kW) of its utility grade solar photovoltaic power plant in Spain. OPEL Solar, Inc. is a subsidiary of OPEL International Inc. (TSX-V: OPL).

"The reaction of customers to OPEL's HCPV technology has been nothing but positive," said Robert Pico, CEO of OPEL Solar, Inc. "HCPV delivers scalable electric power to the grid, and visitors can witness this leap in solar technology firsthand."

This utility grade solar farm is one of the first operable solar grid fields in the world using OPEL’s

HCPV leading edge solar technology. It generates 330 kW of electricity to the power grid, increasing

revenue for BETASOL. The installation is located in the Tarragona region of Spain, a prime location

for solar development.

OPEL Solar continues to highlight the benefits of its advanced technology by hosting numerous

customer visits to the solar farm. At the system site, visitors have an opportunity to see OPEL’s leading

edge solar technology as a viable source of solar electric power generation.
