Chicago, June 25, 2008– OpenMake Software, a leading provider of build to release management solutions, today announced the release of OpenMake Meister 7.2. OpenMake Meister 7.2 includes cross platform build support for Microsoft Visual Studio and improved continuous integration processing. Meister 7.2 has the ability to mashup the builds performed inside the developer's integrated development environment (IDE), such as Eclipse and Microsoft Visual Studio, with the continuous integration builds running outside the IDE.
Meister 7.2 also includes an improved Management Control Console with extended reporting capabilities using the PostgreSQL database. The Management Control Console allows non-developers, such as software quality engineers and production control administrators, to execute and oversee builds using a web based portal.
"Simplifying build complexity is the number one requirement we hear from developers, particularly those working in agile development methodologies. Meister 7.2 meets this requirement by synchronizing builds occurring inside IDEs with builds occurring outside of IDEs. This is the most effective way to manage continuous integration builds", states Steve Taylor, CTO OpenMake Software. "In addition, our Management Control Console gives non-developers a push button process for executing builds and viewing build results from anywhere in the world."
"Meister 7.2 does not attempt to sweep the chaos of builds under the carpet of workflow", explains Stephen King, CEO, OpenMake Software. "OpenMake Software offers workflow management with our free OpenMake Mojo solution, but addresses the entire software build management challenge with OpenMake Meister." About OpenMake Software
OpenMake Software has been an innovator of build and release management solutions for global 2000 organizations since 1995. By managing more build engines, such as MSBuild and Ant, OpenMake Software represents the natural virtualization of the application build process derived directly from popular IDEs such as Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse. Putting workflow on top of chaos does not solve the build problems. OpenMake Software provides free workflow management with Mojo, but addresses the entire build management challenge with Meister.
