THE ORCHARD ANNOUNCES NAOMI MORAN AS GENERAL MANAGER OF UK AND EUROPE

Moran as GM of UK and Europe boosts European operations and strengthens expansion

New York, NY - January 17th, 2013 - The Orchard, leading global digital distributor of music and video, announces the appointment of Naomi Moran as General Manager of UK and Europe. Based out of The Orchard's European Headquarters in London, Moran will oversee all sales, marketing and distribution efforts throughout the UK and Europe. Moran reports to Colleen Theis, who is now based in New York as The Orchard's Chief Operating Officer.

Moran joins The Orchard team with valuable and prolific experience in music publishing, licensing and business development. She previously worked at MCPS Licensing in London, negotiating and securing synchronization licenses during a time when procedures around online licenses were yet to be determined. Moran then took her expertise to Rykomusic as the Licensing Manager of an extensive and eclectic publishing catalogue, later expanding the role to encompass creative master licensing for Rykodisc. After which, Moran became General Manager at World Circuit where she worked to create a trademark licensing business, push for innovation in the digital market and negotiate artists and writer deals, among many other things.
