Our Kids Media Hires New Editor for Print and Online
Our Kids Media has hired a new editor for its print and online properties. Christl Dabu brings her multifaceted experience as a print and digital journalist for magazines, newspapers and websites in Canada, China, Egypt and the U.S. including a recent post as an online editor of the Toronto Star.
Our Kids Media is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Editor for its print and online properties, Our Kids Go To School, Our Kids Go To Camp, Dialogue and the websites ourkids.net, camps.ca and dialogueonline.ca. Christl Dabu brings her multifaceted experience as a print and digital journalist for magazines, newspapers and websites in Canada, China, Egypt and the U.S. In her previous work as an online editor with the Toronto Star, she was responsible for the up-to-the-minute coverage of stories from the Oscars to the G8/G20 summits.
Andrew Stawicki, president of Our Kids Media, is thrilled with the hiring. "We are pleased to continue our strong transition from print to the web," he says. "I’m excited to join Our Kids Media,” Dabu adds. “I look forward to helping the company deliver insightful information on private schools, summer camps and education and parenting issues, as well as building connections among communities through the websites and magazines."
The move is part of Our Kids Media's solid growth over the past decade. In the past three years, the company has published three new significant consumer-focused websites targeted at Canadian families searching for retirement homes, private schools and kids summer camps. This year, camps.ca, comfortlife.ca and experienceboarding.ca, along with ourkids.net (online since 1999), will receive over one million unique visitors in Canada.
