The calculations have been done using the minimum market price for a permanent one way link - $6. As the members of Free Traffic System do not pay for the backlinks, and as in December 2008 over 12,000 one way links have been built by the Free Traffic System members – this equals to the $72,000 that people need to pay SEO companies for building the same number of permanent one way links.

The possibility to build backlinks for free is achieved due to the new concept of “closer contact” between the creators of web content and publishers of web content, which is exercised into life by the Free Traffic System project.

This concept makes sure that creators of web content and those who republish this content play by the same rules; one of the rules is that republishers of content are not allowed to delete or modify the backlinks inserted into web content by the content creators.

Thus, via exchange of content for backlinks, the users of Free Traffic System have build backlinks for the lump sum of over $72,000 during the month of December 2008.
