PATTI ENGINEERING LAUNCHES NEW ICE.IT PRODUCT TO RAVE REVIEWS

Auburn Hills-based Patti Engineering, Inc. recently installed its new Ice.it infrared sensor above the NHL-regulation rink at world-reknown Orchard Lake’s St. Mary’s Preparatory. 

The Ice.it sensor is able to control the ice surface temperature by measuring the actual temperature using an infrared sensor mounted high above in the ceiling.  Previously, temperature control sensors were buried beneath the ice and registering an inaccurate temperature for rink managers.  A key component of rink managers’ jobs is to obtain that perfect temperature based on the type of skater utilizing his/her rink.  The Ice.it product also is web-based so rink managers can manipulate scheduled surface temperature in-house at their desk or remotely optimizing the system for the type of skater scheduled for the ice.
