Pearson Partners with Big Think to Increase Access to Video-based Learning Content

Partnership provides students with a faster, more efficient way to develop business competencies and interpersonal skills

Boston, MA — December 02, 2013 — Pearson announced today a partnership with Big Think, a leading provider of educational video collections that teach the necessary business and interpersonal skills that can increase success in a competitive workforce. Big Think’s award-winning library of 15,000 clips is sourced from a growing network of 3,000 industry and academic experts.

Under the agreement, Pearson will offer educators at higher education institutions licenses to Big Think’s curated collection of videos that are designed to develop interpersonal skills and core competencies business leaders need to achieve success. Each student will have a unique log-in allowing them to access the collections located on a customized Pearson-Big Think portal via the internet, anytime, anywhere. The videos cover topics ranging from innovation, leadership and marketing, to practical methods of improving attention spans, memory, motivation, and willpower.

Additionally, Pearson customers can create a customized solution by choosing from thousands of videos available from Big Think, which support their course learning objectives. This solution can be offered as a fully integrated solution within any Learning Management System (LMS).
