Pearson VUE appoints Matthew Poyiadgi as Managing Director for Europe

London, U.K., January 31, 2012— Pearson VUE, the computer-based testing business of Pearson, has announced the appointment of Matthew Poyiadgi as Managing Director for Europe.

Matthew has over 20 years of experience working for international IT and computer-based testing companies, having established successful teams and customer partnerships to deliver new products and launch global programmes.

In addition to growing existing programmes and seeking new partnerships across the continent, Matthew's efforts will also contribute to Pearson VUE's global success.

Speaking of his appointment, Matthew said: “I am delighted to join Pearson VUE and to lead a team of truly exceptional talent. The company has enjoyed significant pan-Europe success in recent years and I look forward to continuing this in 2012 and beyond.”

Matthew is also recognised as a speaker on technology trends and how technology is changing the way we live and work.

Suzana Lopes has been named as the company's Managing Director for New Markets. Within her role, Suzana is responsible for activity in new markets worldwide, such as those in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Suzana and her team will build on the company’s recent successes, such as the development of test centre partnerships across Africa, the opening of a Dubai office and agreements with oranisations based in the Middle East.
