PengWine, the Exclusive Northwest-based Producer of Chilean Wines, Announces the Launch of two new Wines: the Royal and Fairy
The Fairy, a glittery-labeled, dry Rosé made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec grapes was the highlight. The crisp wine was carefully chosen to be deliciously refreshing with strawberry and kiwi notes—and as the day warmed it proved to be true. The Royal, the second Premium blend from PengWine, features a smooth blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with a complex character which touts sweet blossoms, allspice and a touch of leather for a delicate richness.
As with the other wines from PengWine, each of the new releases followed suit of being named for a penguin that makes its home on the shores of South America.
PengWine celebrated the release of two new wines with a summer release party at their Woodinville storefront this past Saturday, June 14th. Attended by more than 200 people, over the course of five hours the PengWine team poured seven boutique wines.
Special features at the event were a spit bucket overflowing with mist created by dry ice, a large screen projection of the PengWine short film "A PengWine Affair" and a BBQ with sizzling chorizos to make the famous Chilean Choripan sandwich—a perfect match for the Royal. Paired with the Fairy was Copper River Salmon poached with the newly releases Rosé. Pink boas decorated every chair and barrel in the cellar to celebrate the release of the Fairy.
Invited guests and casual visitors alike remarked on the uniqueness of the blends that highlighted features from Chile. Wine lover Victoria Ostrovskaya, wrapped in a pink boa commented, "I was pleasantly surprised by the Rosé, because I'm not a big fan normally, but the Fairy was really nice. Not syrupy sweet like other Rosés. I really like the King, that's still my favorite--I just bought some for my Dad for Father's Day."
The Fairy and Royal, along with the rest of the line of five other wines are available for sale through www.pengwine.com and visitors to the Woodinville cellar door can place orders for delivery.
