Peroni’s Joint, Latest Offering From Metin Durmus, Delivers Specialty Comfort Food to Bridgeport

November 8, 2011 - (PressReleasePoint) -Bridgeport, CT (November 8, 2011) – Peroni’s Joint, a fast-casual restaurant serving cheesesteaks, meatballs and pizza, will host their Grand Opening on Tuesday, November 15^th beginning at 12:30pm with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch.
 
Owner, Metin Durmus, has previously owned and operated restaurants in New York City, West Palm Beach, FL, Newport Beach, CA and Spokane, WA. Durmus is also known for his entertainment ventures and other businesses, including Coca Cola Tickets2nite and All Access Entertainment in Las Vegas.


“We are excited to open our first restaurant in Bridgeport. We are hoping that Peroni’s Joint will be big part of the continued growth in the area,” said Metin Durmus, owner. “Over the next few months, we plan to expand and open a full-service eatery in Newtown and in other key Fairfield County neighborhoods.”


The menu at Peroni’s Joint focuses on a selection of cheesesteaks, meatballs, and pizza. All selections are made-to-order, and Metin Durmus added, “We recognize the importance of focusing on a few strong recipes, using only fresh ingredients and making the highest-quality product for our customers. Many of our recipes have been developed and perfected through countless generations, so watching them come alive in this kitchen is thrilling.”

All proceeds from the Grand Opening will be donated to the Connecticut Food Bank, an affiliate of Feeding America, the nation’s food bank network. Along with Mayor Finch, scheduled for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and other festivities throughout the day are Ambassador Engin Ansay, former Turkish council general to Los Angeles, and ambassador to United Nations, Rick Reichert, Director of Philanthropy, CT Food Bank, Tim Bartlett, Chairman of Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, Jessica Ryan, writer for CTBites and various media. Members of the Bridgeport Fire and Police Departments, MTA Committee, and other local and state political figures have been invited to attend and will be announced as they are confirmed.
 
Peroni’s Joint features seating for 12, take-out orders and delivery. They will be open seven days a week from 11:00am to 10:30pm.
