Mondo Designs Exclusive T-shirts for Piperlime Launching on World AIDS Day

SAN FRANCISCO, November 22, 2010

--Piperlime, the online shop known for the freshest styles in fashion, has teamed up with Lifetime’sProject Runwaysensation Mondo Guerra to support and raise awareness for amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

Mondo has designed two limited-edition T-shirts (300 of each design) available exclusively on piperlime.com. The designs infuse Mondo’s bold style and energetic graphics with his “Live and Love” passion.  The designs are printed on Nation LTD. T-shirts and will be sold for $50.00 on piperlime.com starting December 1, 2010 in conjunction with World AIDS Day.  Twenty dollars of every T-shirt sold will be donated to amfAR an organization devoted to ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research.

AProject Runwayfinalist and fan favorite, Mondo is using his newfound celebrity to help gain awareness of a cause close to his heart.  Mondo first announced he was HIV positive during a season 8 episode and has been a vocal advocate of AIDS research.

“I believe fashion can serve a purpose so I designed these T-shirts with the idea of loving and communicating with one another,” said Mondo Guerra.  “The tree is a symbol of growth and loving yourself and the skull represents family and friends and remembering those who have passed,” he continued.

Piperlime first joined forces withProject Runwayas the official retail partner of season 8.
