It’s the summer of 1989. The story begins in North London as Zak and his closest friends head for Hellfire, the biggest rave in Europe. But after a car crash and what appears to be a chance meeting with a mysterious stranger, Zak discovers there’s more to him than he ever knew – that a dark destiny has taken hold of him, and one that must be fulfilled if he has any chance of returning home from the desolate place he’s stranded in. Now, Zak and his closest friends embark on an unforgettable journey – a journey of magic and gory battles with Gorgons and Cyclopes in the ancient city of Troy – a quest of legendary proportions…

Packed full of humor, Topavzian dovetails two historical references in time, ancient (Troy) and modern (rave culture) to produce a captivating read. With a filmic text that rolls from one action sequence to the next, Topavzian is very much an action packed read from the word go. What’s more, all Trojan and Mycenaean names referred to are actual names of characters listed/featured in Homer’s Iliad, with cameo appearances from ancient Greek heroes like Agamemnon, Menelaus, Odysseus, Nestor and Diomedes – all adding a sense of authenticity to proceedings.

Topavzian’s unusual backdrop, scope of characters and use of historical references make it rich in content, yet very easily digestible.

P.L.Lambrou was born and raised in London. He studied a BA (Hons) in Marketing and the CIM Certificate in Marketing. He is also a qualified copywriter. Living in north London he indulges in his passion for writing while still practicing marketing. He is currently working on his second novel.
