Company Combines Exhibit, Presentation and Facility Tour for Material Handling Audience

LATHAM, NY – April 28, 2014 – Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ: PLUG), a leader in providing clean, reliable energy products, will be showcasing its comprehensive GenKey hydrogen fuel cell solution during the 2014 WERC (Warehousing Education and Research Council) tradeshow and conference being held April 28-30 at the Chicago Hyatt Regency.

Plug Power’s GenKey solution is comprised of three separate elements: GenDrive fuel cell units, GenFuel hydrogen fuel and infrastructure, and GenCare maintenance service. Plug Power provides full integration and deployment of the entire GenKey package for customers to ensure seamless transition to hydrogen fuel cell-based power for their material handling operations.

Plug Power’s Vice President of Sales and Hydrogen, Erik Hansen, will speak in the supplier presentation theatre on April 29 from 1:00-1:30 pm CT. Mr. Hansen’s presentation topic is “The Commercialization of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Solutions: Proven, Reliable, Economical.”

Finally, Plug Power will be hosting a tour at the nearby Central Grocers distribution center where invited guests will see a fleet of 250 GenDrive-powered lift trucks in operation. Central Grocers has been operating GenDrive units as the sole power source for its lift truck fleet since 2009, when its new state-of-the-art facility in Joliet, IL first opened.

The GenKey promotion at WERC puts into context how the solution’s elements complement one another to enhance the material handling customer’s experience with Plug Power’s hydrogen fuel cell offering. GenKey takes complexity out of the equation for the customer by delivering a complete range of services to dramatically simplify the entire process.
