Rory Hamilton-Brown top-scored for Sussex with 49 in the last NatWest T20 Blast game against Gloucestershire

Sussex Sharks head to the Kia Oval this evening for a mouthwatering NatWest T20 Blast clash with rivals Surrey (6.30pm start).

The Sharks kicked off the tournament with a thrilling victory over Surrey last month and will be looking to repeat the success this evening infront of a big crowd at the Oval, and leapfrog them in the South Group table.

Team news sees Ashar Zaidi welcomed back to the squad following the birth of his baby girl, whilst Jimmy Anyon boosts the bowling options, as Jon Lewis misses out due to an achilles problem.

Young all-rounder Harry Finch is also included in the squad as Michael Yardy remains sidelined with his bicep tear, which required surgery this week. Chris Jordan and Matt Prior are unavailable due to England’s Test Match with Sri Lanka at Lord’s.

The Sussex squad is as follows:

JE Anyon

WAT Beer

BC Brown (wkt)

HZ Finch

RJ Hamilton-Brown

EC Joyce (capt)

CJ Liddle

MW Machan

CD Nash

SA Piolet

LJ Wright

Yasir Arafat

SAA Zaidi
