Sussex make the long journey north this weekend to face Durham in the LV=County Championship at the Emirates ICG, with the match beginning tomorrow (11.00am start).

The Division One table sees Sussex seven points ahead of their opponents, although the north-east outfit have played a game less. The tight nature of the table sees Sussex only 20 points behind leaders Yorkshire at the summit, who moved joint-top with the draw at Arundel Castle this week.

Sussex are hoping that skipper Ed Joyce will be able to return from the hamstring problem that kept him out of lastnight's NatWest T20 Blast win over Kent. Michael Yardy remains a longer-term absentee and Matt Prior and Chris Jordan are away with the England side, but seamer Jimmy Anyon (pictured) returns to the squad after missing the game at Arundel with an ankle problem, which will be assessed on the morning of the game.

Kent loanee James Tredwell is included after he played for his parent club against Sussex lastnight, and all-rounder Steffan Piolet also boosts the options.

The Sussex squad is as follows:

JE Anyon

BC Brown (wkt)

RJ Hamilton-Brown

LJ Hatchett

EC Joyce (capt)

J Lewis

MW Machan

SJ Magoffin

CD Nash

SA Piolet

JC Tredwell

LWP Wells

LJ Wright
