EVENT: “Transpose” is a documentary that uses interviews from webcams, cell phones and other personal recording devices to explore the challenges and triumphs of transgender people as they transition. The film is a collection of stories from individuals who choose to determine the course of their life, regardless of the difficult path of transition.
Following the screening, Jerome Larez, Texas Tech alumnus and co-founder of a LGBTQ+ serving non-profit, arttitude, will moderate a panel discussion. The panel will include two interviewees from the film. The director of “Transpose,” Kurtz Frausun, also will be in attendance.
There are three remaining films to be shown as a part of the film series for the fall semester. Each film will be accompanied by reviewed film notes and a commentary and analysis discussion afterward.
