Pro Medisoft recommends ICW Connector and Hausarzt+

"The cooperation between ICW and Pro Medisoft is another success for doctors in Baden-Württemberg", Dr. Berthold Dietsche, Chairman of the Baden-Württemberg Association of General Practitioners, and Dr. Werner Baumgärtner, Chairman of MEDI Baden-Württemberg, agreed. "Now, the users of PROFIMED will be able to participate in HZV smoothly while enjoying significantly increased fees." The contract partners recommend the use of a connector as the best option for participating in the contract comfortably and sustainability. "With the connector, it can be absolutely guaranteed that doctors can fulfill their obligation to handle especially sensitive patient data responsibly."

"We advise our customers urgently to order the starter pack by the end of December at the latest in order to take advantage of the favorable price for a five-year license. Because even if they decide to use another software sometime in the future the starter pack will still provide them with the Connector, which ensures highly secure data transfer at a real bargain price", explains Oliver Seibt, Pro Medisoft AG head of sales. Pro Medisoft will begin offering its own contract software module for HZV in January, 2009.

Seibt also said: "We analyzed the ICW Connector and the Hausarzt+ software and came to the conclusion that the starter pack is currently the best alternative for our customers when they implement HZV. To make the interaction between PROFIMED and Hausarzt+ even more simple, we are currently working together with ICW to develop an expansion for the standardized GDT interface." The expanded interface will enable health coverage data, diagnoses and medications to be shared automatically between PROFIMED and Hausarzt+ in addition to standard GDT data.

With the ICW Connector, doctors benefit by being able to transmit data to the HÄVG computer center over an especially easy and secure connection. The Connector satisfies the current "Recommendations on Physician Confidentiality, Data Protection and Data Processing" of the German Medical Association and the Association of Statutory Health Care Physicians. Installation and configuration of the ICW Connector for PROFIMED customers is performed by especially trained experts from Pro Medisoft.

Aside from Pro Medisoft, the ICW Connector is also being supplied to the customers of medatiXX, the producer of PMS systems DOCcomfort, DOCconept and MCS-ISYNET. ICW CEO Peter Reuschel notes: "I am glad that in recommending its customers to use our Connector, Pro Medisoft is recommending the highest level of security the HZV contract foresees. Together, we will be working on improving the interface between PROFIMED and Hausarzt+ to provide the best possible usability." Talks between ICW and other producers of practice management systems are ongoing.
