A ground breaking campaign to enable firms in Belgium to understand and gain access to sustainable development business ideas and opportunities is to be launched by a recently-formed British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium (BCCB) task force on the 25th May 2010 at the residence of the British Ambassador to the EU.

Brussels, 17 May 2010 PressReleasePoint:

The event will help businesses understand and position themselves at the forefront of what is today’s hottest political, business, and social issue as well as meet key members of the BCCB, focus on issues such as business and regulatory risks and opportunities, and learn how to ‘green’ their business.

Both members and non-members are invited to attend the event, which is being organised by the BCCB’s Business Development Group under the direction of its recently-formed Sustainable Business Development Task Force. Three further events will follow this year promoting various sustainable development business opportunities.

Two prominent figures from the sustainable development community are to speak at the 25th May launch event, from 7.30pm at the Ambassador’s residence, 17, Rue Ducale, Brussels. These will be Professor Van Ypersele, Vice Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and member of the Royal Academy of Belgium and Alain Hubert, founder of the International Polar Foundation (IPF) which raises awareness about the importance of polar science and climate change.

The British Chamber in Belgium is an international and independent networking space for business people.
