ProSilk products on the set of “Young Adult” starring Charlize Theron

ProSilk’s latest venue will be the set of the movie “Young Adult,” starring Academy Award winning actress Charlize Theron, who won for her role in “Monster.” Directed by Jason Reitman, “Young Adult” tells the story of Mavis, the author of a popular series of teen novels.

After high school, Mavis escaped the suburbs to the big city of Minneapolis to follow her dream of being a successful writer. After her divorce, she’s told her book series will be terminated and Mavis finds herself returning to her roots in a Midwestern community – a place she never wanted to see again.

Arriving back in the Midwest, Mavis hopes to rekindle the romance she had with her high school flame, only to find he’s married and has a new baby. Mavis finds herself interacting with a cast of characters from her formative years while she tries to recapture the past.

“Young Adult” was written by Academy Award winner, Diablo Cody, of “Juno” fame. The film will be directed by two-time Academy Award nominee, Jason Reitman, who also directed “Juno and “Up In The Air.” The film is being produced in conjunction with Mandate Pictures. Producers include Lianne Halfon, Russell Smith, Brian Bell, John Malkovich, Nathan Kahane and Steven Rales.

The romantic comedy-drama provides Theron with the opportunity for some light-hearted acting that’s sure to please her fans. The film is scheduled for release in 2013.
