Union Square commits to the ongoing support of IT education and access for all children

Union Square is very proud to announce IT Schools Africa as its charity of the year and will be providing ongoing funding to support its cause.  Established in 2004, IT Schools Africa’s mission is to transform IT education in Africa.  The charity collects used computers in the UK, refurbishes and distributes them at a low cost to schools in Kenya, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.  The computers enable the schools to provide their pupils with the essential IT skills they need to access better paid jobs and go on to further education.  For Union Square it is a great opportunity to help communities striving to improve education standards and opportunities.

In July 2012 Union Square welcomed Nairobi based, award-winning architectural practice Planning Systems Services Ltd as its first African client.  This adds another continent to the company’s growing user base.

“Union Square has added value to the practice – we’re more efficient, can make decisions quicker and are head and shoulders above our direct competitors as a result.” - Huzefa Attari, Associate Director, Planning Systems Services.

With a growing number of users across the world, the company is looking forward to the prospect of helping children in Africa access the information they need to improve their education at a young and crucial age.
