PUBLIC SAFETY TAKES TO THE HILL

WHO: The chiefs, sheriffs, emergency managers and emergency medical services (EMS) and communications professionals that make up the Public Safety Alliance, and 40-plus national organizations supporting their position, will be bringing their message of public safety D-Block allocation and funding for the nationwide public safety broadband network to Capitol Hill.

WHAT: Public safety vehicles will be present on Capitol Hill while PSA representatives meet with Congress to gain their support for H.R. 5081 – The Broadband for First Responders Act of 2010 – and seek support for introduction of a companion bill in the Senate. The results of their meetings will be discussed at a press conference.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 21
Press Conference – 2:30p.m.
Reception – 5:00p.m.

WHERE: Public Safety Vehicles Present and Press Conference – Maryland Avenue, SW and Garfield Circle
Reception – Downtown Silver Spring, MD (exact location TBA)
