Push Technology appoints Oracle’s Dr Andy Piper as Chief Technology Officer

Leading software specialist joins string of senior hires for high growth technology innovator

Building on a summer of success stories, technology and solutions specialist Push Technology has further strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Dr Andy Piper as Chief Technology Officer.

Former technical director at Fortune 500 Company Oracle Corporation, Dr Piper will drive product innovation and further enhance the capabilities of Push Technology’s flagship product, Diffusion™, cementing Push Technology’s place as a leader in the emerging and exciting market of real time ‘data on demand’.

Push Technology’s powerful platform Diffusion™ enables high performance and multi-channel solutions to push data ‘beyond the edge’, delivering real-time data on demand for clients.  As CTO, Dr Piper will be responsible for ensuring his team of highly skilled engineers ensure that the platform continues to deliver step-changes in scalability, reliability and robustness that have become synonymous with Push Technology, and leverage that capability in line with the global growth aspirations of the company.

In his previous role Dr Piper led the development in Oracle Complex Event Processing (OCEP) as well driving global product strategy and innovation. Previously, Piper was an architect for the WebLogic Server Core at BEA Systems, a provider of middleware infrastructure technologies. Other roles have included: Managing Consultant for object oriented technologies within BEA UK; and Chief Technical Architect for Parallax, a SME systems integrator.
