Anyone who enjoys taking to the dance floor may want to visit Florence for its Tango Festival.

People who enjoy watching dance shows or even taking part themselves should consider booking accommodation in Florence next month if they want to see a display of Latin-American dance.

The city will host its annual Tango Festival from April 22nd until 25th, with a host of international performers descending on the city.

As well as putting on shows for visitors to enjoy, some of the stars will also be running workshops and Tango classes, some of which are free, for those who want to discover how to perform the steps of this passionate dance.

Prices vary depending on what events or activities you want to attend, with basic workshops starting from €30 (£27.19), while tickets for the shows begin from €10.

Among the dancers to attend the event will be the pairs of Gustavo Rosas and Gisela Natoli and Ricardo Barrios and Laura Melo.

Performances will predominantly be held at the Saschall Theatre and Affrattelamento Theatre, while many of the lessons will take place at Tangoclub.

Anyone who wants to attend any of the events is advised to book ahead to ensure that they have a space for their chosen activity or show.

Commenting on the Florence Tango Festival, Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, said: "We strongly urge people thinking of going to the Florence Tango Festival and who need hotel Firenze to book early to avoid disappointment."
