Quadrem Appoints Deon Mocke to Lead Africa Operati

Johannesburg, South Africa– April 8, 2008 – Quadrem International Ltd., a supply chain solutions company with one of the world’s largest supplier networks, announces the appointment of Deon Mocke, as the regional vice president of Quadrem Africa.

From 2001 to 2005 Mocke (42) was general manager, of Anglo Platinum’s Supply Chain department and led the successful implementation of supply chain and procurement best practices within the company. More recently he co-founded and served as CEO of Ess Cubed Procurement, a company specialising in the provision of professional procurement services for production environments and large projects.

“Deon’s deep expertise in procurement and his leadership within key African companies such as Anglo Platinum make him a strong selection to head Quadrem’s Africa business,” said Charles Jackson, CEO of Quadrem International. “He will be able to deliver the highest level of service to our customers in Africa and also support our growth initiatives in the region.”

During his time with the Anglo American group, Mocke was appointed as a director on the board of Anglo Zimele, Anglo American’s BEE investment business, and was appointed as committee member of the group’s global Procurement and Supply Chain Management Council.

Mocke has also worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (previously Coopers and Lybrand), Mac Consulting and Unitrans.

Mocke will be leading a team of 115 staff with locations in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Bloemfontein.

Locally, Quadrem Africa has 138 buyer locations across the country, which trade with over 6,000 suppliers.  Quadrem also manages a base of over 20,000 verified suppliers, of which 75% are BEE verified and 91% are classified as small to medium enterprises. The result is over 500,000 transactions and more than $4 billion in annual trade.
