Las Vegas – 25 August 2008 –Quadrem International, a leading provider of supply management solutions, will present a two-hour-long seminar at MINExpo® 2008 that will focus on the importance of innovation and risk management to drive growth and improve productivity within the mining industry. The sessions will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday, September 22, 2008. At 2 pm Pacific, Quadrem will sponsor its first educational session entitled “The Mine of the Future.” Participants will be among the first to hear Rio Tinto’s Head of Innovation, John McGagh, present a groundbreaking plan to develop the mine of the future. The company’s ambitious vision is for a fully integrated, largely automated mine-to-port operation within five years that will optimize all stages of the mineral extraction process, maximizing recovery rates while minimizing the mining footprint.



At 3 pm Pacific, Quadrem will present “Capture the Advantage: What do you need to be ready?” Led by Pete Torrenti, Vice President North America at Quadrem and Sean Samson, Vice President of Commercial Development at Kinross Gold, the session will present the ways leading mining companies are assessing supply chain readiness and charting roadmaps to reduce risk. This is a great opportunity to see how managers of natural resources companies are planning and acting today to ensure future success.
