Join Bredeson Outdoor Adventures on a guided, fall foliage hiking adventure “Down East” along Maine’s coast October 10 - 17. Our group will have fun exploring the coast whose beautiful ruggedness is softened by evergreens and quaint, traditional fishing towns and islands. Maine’s coastal mountains thrust up from the shore and provide great hiking with fabulous ocean views. Add to this mix fall foliage, a lobster dinner, and Maine’s legendary artistic, literary, and conservationist history and you get one great trip.

Norwalk, CT, March 25, 2011 (PressReleasePoint) -- In the first part of this tour we’ll be based in Camden, whose idyllic inner harbor is known for windjammer cruises and which is the location of Camden Hills State Park. We’ll participate in a venerable Maine institution by taking the mail boat out to Monhegan Island, famous among artists, to hike and to hunt for fairy houses. We’ll then poke our way further “down” east -- north along the coast to beautiful Acadia National Park. We’ll spend two days based in lively Bar Harbor, and will then venture to Acadia’s “Quiet Side,” Southwest Harbor, for three days of hiking and a second mail boat ride. We hope you’ll join us on this quintessential fall foliage hiking adventure on Maine’s magnificent coast and islands.
