The March 29, 2010 episode of Deconstructing Comics discusses two adaptations of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". How were they adapted to the comics medium? How did the choices of each creative team differ?

The March 29, 2010, episode of Deconstructing Comics podcast presents "Wizards of Oz...and 'Toto' too!" Two comics adaptations of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" are reviewed: A French version by David Chauvel and Enrique Fernandez (published in English by Image Comics), and the recent Marvel Comics adaptation by Eric Shanower and Skottie Young.

Host Tim Young and guest reviewer Rashad Doucet (author of "Nadia's Jewelry Box" and "My Dog is a Superhero") compare the two approaches to L. Frank Baum's classic story. How were they adapted to the comics medium? How did the choices of each creative team differ? Also discussed is Yuko Osada's "Toto! The Wonderful Adventure," an original story that frequently references Buam's work.
