A popular multi-player online battle arena game, League of Legends pits two teams of powerful champions in a head-to-head battle across different fields and game modes. The game’s unique and exciting design requires a lot of strategy and coordination among team members, and is one of the reasons for its keen following worldwide.

Among the highlights of the event held at the World Trade Center was the GameX Pro Gaming Series tournament, a search for the country’s top League of Legends group that will represent the country to the world arena. Thousands of gaming aficionados trooped to the venue to root for the country’s top four League of Legends teams.

Not new to the competitive gaming scene, 15-year old Knoxlander Lope, said he went to the event mainly to root for Manila Eagles, as well as enjoy the rest of the activities. “This year’s Rampage 2014 was such a great experience, and it is nice to see the growing community of League of Legends gamers in the country.”
