Reclamation Releases Environmental Documents for Kaweah Delta Water Conservation District Packwood Creek and Oakes Basin Improvements WaterSMART Project

VISALIA, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation today released final environmental documents for the Kaweah Delta Water Conservation District Packwood Creek Control Structures and Oakes Basin Improvements WaterSMART Grant Project.

The Project is located at multiple locations within Packwood Creek within the city limits of the city of Visalia, County of Tulare, Calif. The Project consists of the construction of four new in-channel concrete water control structures and retrofitting one existing water control structure within Packwood Creek for improved recharge to groundwater supplies. The Project also involves habitat restoration improvements of Oakes Basin.
