Record number of Doctor vacancies on Jobs4Medical site

Hampshire, UK – 4th November 2009 – Jobs4Medical.co.uk, a leading specialist online recruitment service for the medical profession, has revealed that Doctors are now the most in demand healthcare professionals – and account for almost 50 per cent of the Jobs4Medical database. Over 7,500 locum and permanent Doctors positions, including consultants and general practitioners, are currently live on the Jobs4Medical website – making it one of the largest databases in the UK. The new European Working Time Directive, introduced in August, prevents around 60,000 trainee doctors based in the UK from working more than 48 hours a week. This has resulted in a number of hospitals looking to fill the gap that the new Working Time Directive has created in their workforces.
