Red or Blue; Life or Death? One Week Until America Decides

Washington, D.C. — In one week, America will go to the polls in perhaps the most important mid-term election of our time. That election will decide if the Republicans will maintain control of the House and increase their majority in the Senate.

Political pundits are saying that the Republicans will lose control of the House but increase their majority in the Senate,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “But these are the same pundits that said Trump had no path to victory in 2016. If every pro-life person gets out and votes for Republican pro-life candidates, we will keep our majorities and deal the party of Planned Parenthood another stunning defeat.”

Newman notes that a defeat for the pro-abortion Democrats is a win for pro-life supporters and the babies they seek to protect. Legislation to protect babies from abortion can pass only with pro-life Republicans holding the majorities in both the House and the Senate.

“President Trump has done more for the pro-life cause than any other president in history. But there is still more that must be done that can’t be accomplished without majorities in the House and the Senate. If we give President Trump those majorities at the ballot box, he will produce for us in a big way,” said Newman.

Still on the table is the defunding of Planned Parenthood’s Medicare payments, which can only be done through the Congress. Should the Democrats win the majority in the House, there will be no defunding of Planned Parenthood, and President Trump’s other agenda items that will save lives and benefit the American people will be stalled.

“We have endorsed good pro-life candidates in key elections, but there are others out there running who are worthy of our votes. This is literally a vote to save America and to save innocent lives,” Newman continued. “Please get out to vote and take all your friends and family with you to the polls. This is literally a matter of life or death!”

Early voting is also available in most states. Check your local election office for details.
