Toronto, ON (June 14, 2006) – Reed Construction Data Inc and Royal Architectural Institute of Canada are today signing a strategic alliance agreement during the Festival of Architecture in Vancouver. The agreement will see RCD’s recently re-launched Buildcore, Canada’s most comprehensive sourcing guide for Architects and Specifiers, delivered to all of RAIC’s Architects actively involved in designing industrial commercial and institutional projects.

In addition, RAIC members will receive benefits including unlimited access to RCD’s Project Source and substantial discounts on Reed Construction Data products. RAIC will enjoy reduced advertising rates to assist in promoting the organization and increasing membership, and will provide opportunities for RCD to promote its products to RAIC membership.

“We are excited to be allied with RAIC,” says Mark Casaletto, Reed Construction Data’s Managing Director. “If you look at our history over the past 90 years in this country, architects have played a major role in helping us build our business as sources for our data, contributed to editorial content in our newspapers and have been long-standing and valued customers. This is an opportunity for us to give back to the profession that has been so integral to our success to date. We look forward to working closely with RAIC going forward to help support its vision, and grow together. We are honored to call ourselves a partner of RAIC, a role we plan to take very seriously.”

“Buildcore is an essential resource to the Canadian architectural community,” notes Jon Hobbs, Executive Director of RAIC. “Buildcore provides our members with the most reliable and comprehensive inventory of building products available in Canada. An unwavering commitment to quality and integrity has made Reed Construction Data the authoritative voice of Canada’s construction industry, and we’re excited by the opportunities this agreement represents for both RAIC and Reed Construction Data.”
