Ribbon-cutting Ceremony to Celebrate Grand Opening of GSSM Foundation Offices & Re-Opening of Startsville

Columbia, SC – The Foundation for the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) is pleased to announce a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for the Foundation’s new Downtown Offices, and its Startsville Innovation Center, Thursday, August 24, 2017, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

The public is invited to tour both spaces, meet the Foundation Team, and learn about ongoing and new initiatives taking place at 145 & 147 West Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, SC, 29550.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the Hartsville community into our creative work spaces to learn first-hand how we support the best high school in the state - GSSM - and the best small city in the state - Hartsville,” said Kim Bowman, CEO, GSSM Foundation. “Our ribbon-cutting marks the launch of a new chapter of innovation for our Foundation Team, and we look forward to inviting our friends and neighbors to be a part of this next generation of high-profile initiatives.

The GSSM Foundation is a hybrid, forward-looking organization of creative and driven individuals working to retain and return our alumni to South Carolina. Our goal is to positively impact economic development across the state and in the Pee Dee while also providing unwavering support for the Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics and its students, faculty and programs. 

The Foundation’s core initiatives include Fundraising, Marketing, Advocacy, Satellite Outreach Programs, Alumni Relations, Career Services and Startsville.
