Sterrett, Jr. Sterrett joins Rimon from Blank Rome.

In a legal career spanning 23 years, Sterrett has served as principal outside counsel for a variety of biotech, medical device, business services, information technology, software, and other technology companies. His clients – both foreign and domestic - range from start-ups to large multinational corporations, and from emerging growth companies to non-profit organizations.

Sterrett provides counsel on corporate, technology, tax and general business law matters. He also has substantial experience handling mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and angel, venture capital and other transactions. He provides advice to his clients on all aspects of intellectual property and technology-oriented business relationships, including licenses and cross-licenses, product development, joint ventures, collaborations, material transfer, and research development.

Sterrett joins the firm as a partner in Rimon’s Start-ups and Start-up Financing, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Technology Licensing practice groups. With his additional experience in the exempt and nonprofit realm, he will continue to provide counsel to charitable and trade associations on business, corporate, intellectual property, and federal and state tax matters. Sterrett is a graduate of the University of Virginia Law School and he has a B.A. from Amherst College. Following law school, he was employed at Allens Arthur Robinson in Australia and clerked for Judge James S. Halpern of the U.S. Tax Court.
