For 2010, RITMO is once again producing a limited edition series of 100 pieces of the new Helio Castroneves timepiece, to commemorate his victory at the Indianapolis 500 for a record third time.

Basel, Switzerland – March 18, 2010 – RITMO MUNDO, the Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills, California.-based luxury watch manufacturer, today announced new additions to its collection here at the 2010 BASELWORLD International Watch and Jewelry Show, taking place from March 18, 2010 through March 25, 2010. Celebrating its 8th year anniversary, and despite the tough economy and difficult market environment, RITMO MUNDO is actually expanding its collections to bring to the market place innovative products. Highlights of the introduction are below:

•IndyCar 221/2 – In 2009, RITMO introduced the limited edition of 100 pieces all of which are sold out. The Helio Castroneves timepiece, featuring titanium casing, HCN initials on the dial, and Helio’s signature on the back. For 2010, RITMO is once again producing a limited edition series of 100 pieces of the new Helio Castroneves timepiece, to commemorate his victory at the Indianapolis 500 for a record third time. In this edition the letter ‘E’ in Helio’s name is replaced with the number 3, high contrast red Arabic numerals set against black carbon fiber.

This version of the IndyCar new classic is a tribute to the 2009 champion, Helio Castroneves. With numerous functions and attractive features, this watch will keep you up to speed during your everyday activities. The modern dials and tire tread rubber strap are a perfect combination for any aficionado, Indy 500 collectors or Helio fans.

Background: At the age of 27, Castroneves became the youngest driver to win the race, and the only driver ever to win in his first two attempts. His trademark fence climb after each win has set the standard for post-race victory celebrations in all forms of motor sports. His victory propelled him to a new level of fame, now gracing red carpet events, popular talk shows, and magazine covers. Despite off-track pressure, Helio fought and regained his supremacy at Indianapolis. In 2009, Helio once again showed his resilience and superb skills, in winning the Indianapolis 500 for a 3rd time on Memorial Day weekend.
