Riverside Medical Center Extends Concuity Contract

Hayward, Calif., April 12, 2005- Concuity, a trusted provider of revenue cycle management solutions for the healthcare industry, today announced that Riverside Medical Center; Kankakee, Illinois has agreed to extend their contract to use Concuity’s ClearContracts™ Revenue Cycle Management Solutions for three years. Riverside Medical Center, in Kankakee, IL and part of the Rush Health System based in Chicago, began outsourcing underpayment identification and recovery to Concuity in October, 2003 and has been using the ClearContracts web-based application for executive-level performance reporting. “With Concuity, we’ve achieved our contract management goals and they have definitely exceeded our revenue recovery expectations,” says Bill Douglas, CFO and treasurer for Riverside Medical Center. “Like many Illinois hospitals, we have a particular problem reconciling payments from one of the state’s largest commercial payers. ClearContracts has been able to make sense of this payer’s complicated reimbursement methodologies and bring clarity to the extent at which we were getting underpaid. To date, they’ve collected a little over $1.3 million for Riverside.
