Rob Roy Joins Atrenta Executive Team
Atrenta Inc. today announced that Dr. Rob Roy has joined the Atrenta executive team as chief of business development, reporting to Dr. Ajoy Bose, chairman, president and CEO of Atrenta.
EDA and semiconductor industry veteran will focus on strategic business development
San Jose, Calif., Mar. 15, 2010 — Atrenta Inc., the leading provider of Early Design Closure® solutions to radically improve design efficiency throughout the IC design flow, today announced that Dr. Rob Roy has joined the Atrenta executive team as chief of business development. Roy reports to Dr. Ajoy Bose, chairman, president and CEO of Atrenta and will focus on strategic growth initiatives for the company.

Dr. Roy is a well-recognized entrepreneur in the fields of wireless and VLSI system design. He was a co-founder and chief technology strategist of Mobilian Corporation, an advanced wireless connectivity company, which was acquired by Intel Corporation in September 2003. His previous experience includes engineering and management positions at Intel, NEC, GE, and AT&T Bell Labs. Dr. Roy has published over 50 research papers in prestigious journals and international conferences, including three highly-prestigious Best Paper Awards. He holds 15 patents. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
