Roush Named Academy Director of Membership

Kimberly Roush, an executive with more than 25 years of experience in not-for-profit organizations, has been named director of membership at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy Executive Director Bruce Davis announced today.

Beverly Hills, CA (October 22, 2008) — Kimberly Roush, an executive with more than 25 years of experience in not-for-profit organizations, has been named director of membership at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy Executive Director Bruce Davis announced today.

Among other responsibilities, Roush will oversee aspects of the prospective-member review process, supervise the processing of invitations to and ticketing for the Academy Awards®, and work with ballot tabulators to ensure the accuracy and integrity of eligible voter lists.

Roush most recently headed her own Santa Fe-based management and fundraising consultancy. Prior to that, Roush spent more than a decade at the Telluride Film Festival, where she directed fundraising and marketing activities and developed, negotiated and managed extensive corporate sponsorships with numerous brands.

From 1988 to 1994, Roush worked as the director of marketing at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, where she supervised advertising, public relations, audience development and direct mail efforts for the organization. She also managed numerous fundraising and marketing projects and worked closely with the Center’s board of directors in revising its five-year plan.

Roush began her career at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities in Arvada, Colorado. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado State University (Fort Collins) and holds a Master of Arts degree from New York University.
