MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL (02/13/2014) —The 46th annual University of Minnesota apparel design fashion show, ALIGN, will take place on February 15, 2014 at 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm in Rapson Hall (89 Church St. SE, Minneapolis, MN). The event will feature original collections by 19 senior apparel design students, as well as selections of work from the sophomore and junior apparel design classes. The range of designs on the runway will include childrenswear, bridal, ready-to-wear, science fiction, and conceptual statement pieces using everything from hand dyed and hand knit pieces to digital printing and wearable technology.
The College of Design fashion show is a capstone experience for apparel design seniors who participate in a fall semester studio-based class dedicated to creating and producing the spring event. "Align represents the culmination of our education," says senior Reagan Rockers, promotions chair for the event. "We're so excited to showcase our different aesthetics and points of view."
