Russian Railways Logistics opened a separate subdivision in Sochi, Russia ahead of Winter Olympic Games. The new division will provide the full range of logistics services as well as perform the role of the Olympic consignee.

Moscow, Russian Federation., March 12, 2013 - (PressReleasePoint) - Russian Railways Logistics opened a separate subdivision in Sochi, Russia ahead of Winter Olympic Games. The new division will provide the full range of logistics services as well as perform the role of the Olympic consignee.

The separate subdivision was opened at freight yard "Sochinskiy", Veseloe station of the North Caucasian Railway in Adler district of Krasnodar region.

Recently in cooperation with the North Caucasian direction of Terminal Warehousing Complex, RZDL introduced joint integrated project on receiving and handling cargo at the Olympic terminal yard "Sochinskiy".  In the framework of the new project RZD Logistics will act as a consignee and provide freight delivery and other services including truck forwarding from warehouse to construction sites.

Russian Railways Logistics current strategy includes broad expansion in Russia and abroad, which will allow the company to maintain direct contact with its customers and to be more responsive to their needs. Currently there is a network of 21 branches on the territory of Russia from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok.
