SaaS Veteran to Play Strategic Role in Scaling Company’s Technology and Applications for its Growing Client Base

Durham, NC – October 10, 2012 - Bronto Software, the leading marketing platform for commerce, announced today that Erik Morse has joined the company as Vice President of Engineering. Morse brings twenty-five years of software industry experience and a track record of successfully scaling fast-growth software as a service (SaaS) companies to market leadership. 

In his role as VP of Engineering, Morse will lead the effort to scale Bronto’s technology organization in order to meet the increasing performance demands of the company’s rapidly growing roster of commerce-focused companies. Morse will also lead Bronto’s product development teams, bringing his lengthy SaaS experience to continually improve the leading-edge, yet easy-to-use functionality of the Bronto Marketing Platform. Technology and product development initiatives led by Morse will focus on arming retailers with the features and functionality they need to maximize the impact of their marketing campaigns.

Prior to joining Bronto, Morse was the founding employee at Peopleclick, where he served for thirteen years as COO and CTO. During his tenure at Peopleclick, Morse was instrumental in building the technology organization and leading key product development initiatives, including the establishment of the company’s successful and rapidly scaling SaaS business model. 

Prior to Peopleclick, Morse served as a director of development for Seer Technologies, a leader in enterprise software infrastructure products. He began his software career with eight years at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) as a senior software engineer. Morse holds a Bachelor's degree from Colgate University with a double major in Math and Computer Science and a Master's in Computer Science from Brown University.
